Privacy policy

Last updated: October 27, 2026. This policy explains what happens to information when you use calcmatters.com.

Information you enter into our calculators

We do not collect it. Every calculator runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The values you type are never transmitted to us, are not stored, and are not visible in any form to us or to our hosting provider. Closing the tab discards them.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, we may record standard technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, referring page, pages visited, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this to understand which calculators are useful and to keep the site running. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, address, or email address unless you choose to send it to us by email.

Cookies and advertising

We use advertising partners, including Google AdSense, to fund the site. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and elsewhere on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

Advertising is off by default, and it stays off until you accept. On your first visit you are shown a banner with two choices. Choosing Essential only stores that decision in your browser and no advertising script is loaded at all — no Google advertising cookie, no ad request. Choosing Accept loads the AdSense script, which may set cookies to personalise and measure ads. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings; the banner will appear again on your next visit.

Where the law requires a certified consent management platform — in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — Google’s own certified CMP can be enabled in place of this banner. The choice you make is stored locally under the key cm-ad-consent and is never transmitted to us.

External links

If you follow a link from this site to another website, that site has its own privacy policy and we are not responsible for it. We do not control the content or practices of any third-party site.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices and contact

You can opt out of personalised advertising through the links above, or by using your browser settings to block or delete cookies. To ask what information we hold, or to request deletion, email [email protected].

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. Contact us using the address above and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or its partners change. The date at the top always reflects the latest version.
